Rutgers and its athletic fund-raising arm, the Scarlet R Club, are committed to enhancing the educational experiences and opportunities for our student-athletes. The Club was established in 1973 to help support the scholarship and program costs for the university's men's and women's intercollegiate athletic teams.

Rutgers' student-athletes have learned to appreciate the strength of discipline, the wisdom of teamwork, and the tenacious pursuit of excellence. Rutgers' strong commitment to athletics and academics provides our student-athletes with the tools and resources necessary to be successful throughout their lives.

How You Can Help

Scarlet R General Fund — Donors to the Scarlet R General Fund help supplement scholarships for student-athletes, enhance academic support, improve facilities, attract and retain outstanding coaches, and increase team travel opportunities for our sports programs.

Team-Specific Support — Team-specific support may allow a head coach to enhance recruiting efforts, purchase new equipment or uniforms, expand the travel schedule nationally, compete in international competitions, meet emergency needs, attract and retain excellent assistant coaches, and improve facilities.

Women’s Student-Athlete Scholarship Fund — Gifts to this fund will ensure that future generations of women receive the very same benefits from athletic competition that men have long enjoyed.
