We're No. 1!

Working in partnership, annual giving staff, volunteers, and more than 400 students, like those pictured here, generated over $6.6 million in pledges from alumni and friends in FY07. The Rutgers Telefund ranks Number One among phone programs at public universities nationwide.

The combination of state support (direct appropriations, fringe benefits, financial aid, etc.) and student tuition and fees covers less than two-thirds of the university's annual budget, so the generosity of alumni and friends is critical in supporting all phases of a Rutgers education. If you have not already spoken with one of our energetic and dedicated student callers or received a letter from us, you can still make a donation at our secure site.

Did you know?

• Each donor makes the decision about where a gift will be allocated, such as the dean's fund at a particular college, scholarship support, athletic programs, or library or museum.
• Continuing annual support is an important part of the philanthropy that helps to maintain the high quality of Rutgers programs.
• The Rutgers University Foundation was created in 1973 to consolidate the fund-raising work of the university. It is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization, and all gifts that come through the Foundation are fully tax deductible to the extent allowed by the IRS.
• All donors of $25 or more receive a subscription to the award-winning Rutgers Magazine.
