Corporate and Foundation Relations
The Corporate and Foundation Relations (CFR) team is dedicated to raising funds for Rutgers by building and sustaining mutually beneficial partnerships with funders and grant makers whose support reaffirms Rutgers’ position as a top-tier public research university.
CFR has three principal roles:
- To understand the goals and interests of prospective corporate and foundation partners, strengthen existing relationships with corporate and foundation donors, cultivate new relationships, and connect corporate and foundation partners with the dynamic range of funding opportunities available at the university.
- To support the priorities of deans, faculty, key staff, and directors of development most relevant to the interests of corporate and foundation partners and prospects.
- To serve as a conduit between the Rutgers community and corporate and foundation funders and grant makers. CFR is well-equipped to provide current information about organizations’ funding priorities, contact with the many relationships they have cultivated at major donor organizations, and expert advice and counsel on communications with corporate and foundation prospects—from letters of inquiry and the proposal process to stewardship of funds awarded to Rutgers.
