Donor Policies
Publication of Donor Names
The names of all donors may be included in materials such as honor rolls, annual reports, and other appropriate publications, in both print and electronic formats, unless otherwise requested by the donor. The foundation will not publish the amount of any gift without the permission of the donor. Donors who have made gifts to the foundation via bequest or other testamentary device are deemed to have granted such permission unless otherwise specified in the gift instrument or other document.
Gift Assessment Fees
In July 2022, Rutgers University’s Board of Governors voted to update university policy 40.2.13, eliminating the university’s Gift Assessment Fee for any gifts or pledge payments deposited at the university on or after January 1, 2022. Please consult the Donor Gift Policy to learn more about the depositing, recording, and acknowledgment of all charitable gifts received on behalf of Rutgers University.
