The high cost of medical school can be overwhelming and often deters otherwise promising students from entering the profession. While scholarships can help offset this financial burden, they require annual support from generous donors.

This year, you can make your gift to Rutgers New Jersey Medical School (NJMS) go even further than usual. The 2022 Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS) Scholarship Match Campaign will match donors’ gifts toward scholarships at the medical school.

During this year’s campaign, Chancellor Brian Strom will dedicate up to $1 million of RBHS resources to inspire others to give, matching gifts made to scholarships at NJMS through December 31, 2022—or whenever the match is met—and doubling your impact. Here’s how it works:

  • Gifts to NJMS scholarships will be matched dollar for dollar up to a maximum of $50,000.
  • Gifts can be designated to any new or current scholarship fund, including the NJMS Scholarship Support Fund.
  • NJMS faculty and staff who are NJMS alumni will receive a 2-to-1 match on scholarship gifts.

Your generosity will have a significant and immediate impact on NJMS students. By making a gift toward scholarships at NJMS, you help secure their professional futures—and the future of the profession.
