As our world continues to navigate life during a pandemic, your support of Rutgers’ students and programs means more than ever. When you make a gift of $60 or more or a sustaining gift of at least $5 a month before the end of the year, you’ll receive a limited-edition reusable Rutgers-branded face mask. Show the world that scarlet is stronger by making a gift before December 31.

How do I make a gift?
Give online at give.rutgers.edu/maskup by midnight on December 31. If you would like to make your gift by phone, please call 848-932-8800.
When will I receive my face mask?
Your face mask should arrive in six to eight weeks.
What material is the face mask?
The mask has a polyester outer layer and a cotton inner layer. It features elastic ear loops with an adjustable toggle to create the perfect fit
Is my gift tax deductible? How does the CARES Act impact my donation?
Your gift is 100 percent tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law. You will receive a tax receipt via email after you make a gift. Under IRS guidelines, the estimated value of benefits received is not substantial; therefore, the full amount of your gift is a deductible contribution. The CARES Act provides individuals who take the standard deduction with a new, above-the-line charitable deduction for cash contributions of up to $300 in tax year 2020.
I have already made a gift this fiscal year. Will I receive a mask?
If you have made a gift already, thank you for your generosity! Because this is a special initiative for a limited time only, if you’d like to receive a Rutgers face mask, please make an additional gift between December 7 and December 31 at this link: give.rutgers.edu/maskup.
I already make a monthly or annually recurring gift. Will I receive a mask?
If you are a sustaining donor with a monthly or annually recurring gift, thank you! Because this is a special initiative for a limited time only, if you’d like to receive a Rutgers face mask, please make an additional gift between December 7 and December 31 at this link: give.rutgers.edu/maskup.
Does my gift need to be directed to a specific area?
No! At Rutgers, we know there are many areas that our alumni and supporters are passionate about. Your gift of $60 or more to any area at Rutgers will qualify you for our thank-you gift.
