#GivingTuesday is a global giving movement that takes place each year after Thanksgiving, bringing people together to support the causes they believe in.

A little help can go a long way. This year at Rutgers, #GivingTuesday is an opportunity to support Scarlet Promise Grants, which are crucial to providing equitable access to a world-class Rutgers education.

Rutgers students need financial aid now more than ever. A majority require assistance to attend the university, last year demonstrating $100 million in unmet financial need. Scarlet Promise Grants are university-wide, need-based financial aid awards that empower thousands of students across the Rutgers community each year. Ranging from $500 to $5,000, these grants help financially at-risk students afford tuition, fees, and other educational costs. Scarlet Promise Grants also provide much-needed assistance in emergency situations, such as a health crisis or the loss of a family member.

Double Your Impact

Every year on Giving Tuesday, generous alumni have stepped up to match gifts on this annual day of giving. This year, we are kicking off Giving Tuesday with a $25,000 match thanks to alumni Joyce and Peter Hendricks. Your donation will be matched dollar for dollar up to $25,000 total.

Make a gift on December 1, 2020 and help students fulfill their potential at Rutgers.
