Class of 1950 — 70th Milestone
Alumni Weekend, originally planned for April 24 and 25, has been postponed, helping to slow the spread of COVID-19. During this time of uncertainty, this decision is best for the protection of Rutgers’ alumni, staff, faculty, and friends.
During these difficult times, student support is more critical than ever.
The Class of 1950 has always remained dedicated to supporting the needs of students through our generous giving over the years. Now is no different. Despite not convening on campus for our 70th reunion just yet, we can still make an enormous impact. Our campaign efforts to support the Class of 1950 Fund, as well as the Oral History program, Alexander Library, Zimmerli Art Museum, and the baseball program, directly impact the lives of Rutgers students. Right now, scholarships are of the utmost importance, as students grapple with a loss of on-campus jobs, income, affordable housing, and basic necessities.
If you have the means, please give what you can because student support is vital during this time. After all, at Rutgers, this is what we do. We come together as a community to work together when it’s needed most. Your generosity will help prepare the next generation of students to better our world.
Please stay safe, be well, and thank you in advance for your continued generosity.
Class Giving Goal
Increase the endowment of Class of 1950 Scholarship and support other university priorities.
It’s our 70th class anniversary!
To commemorate this milestone year, please join us in making a special gift to alma mater in support of our class gift initiatives. We will make every effort to increase the endowment of the Class of 1950 Scholarship Fund, as well as support other University priorities, such as the Oral History Program, Alexander Library, Zimmerli Art Museum and the Baseball Program.
Every gift will help us reach our class giving goal, however, only gifts made specifically to the Class of 1950 Fund will support our special class gifts.
Don’t forget! Reunion is the perfect time to think about including Rutgers in your estate planning. Through an IRA rollover, gift in your will, or beneficiary designation, you can have a meaningful, long-term impact while taking steps to benefit your own financial situation.
