Class of 1951 — 70th Milestone
The Rutgers College Class of 1951 will celebrate its 70th anniversary in 2021. Dates and details about activities being planned for Alumni Weekend are coming, so stay tuned!
Our support matters every year, but it is especially significant during milestone years. Our class, among others, marks anniversary years with a special gift to the university. You can once again be part of this time-honored tradition of “giving back.”
Our class has been very philanthropic over the years. Our most prominent reunion gifts to the university include the naming of the Visitor Center lobby and the creation of the Class of 1951 Memorial Scholarship, which is awarded annually to talented Rutgers students. We are proud that our class scholarship benefits students at the School of Arts and Sciences, the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences (formerly Cook College), the School of Engineering, and Mason Gross School of the Arts. The scholarship is also awarded to students who compete in nonrevenue-generating intercollegiate sports and to walk-on football athletes.
This anniversary year, we hope to increase the endowment of the Class of 1951 Memorial Scholarship and we need your help to do so. If you support other areas of the university, please continue to do so, but please also consider an additional gift to the Class of 1951 Memorial Scholarship Fund in honor of our reunion.
