Class of 1955 — 65th Milestone
Alumni Weekend, originally planned for April 24 and 25, has been postponed, helping to slow the spread of COVID-19. During this time of uncertainty, this decision is best for the protection of Rutgers’ alumni, staff, faculty, and friends.
During these difficult times, student support is more critical than ever.
The Class of 1955 has always remained dedicated to supporting the needs of students through our generous giving over the years. Now is no different. Despite not convening on campus for our 65th reunion just yet, we can still make an enormous impact. The Class of 1955 Scholarship Fund directly impacts the lives of Rutgers students. And right now, scholarships are of the utmost importance as students grapple with a loss of on-campus jobs, income, affordable housing, and basic necessities.
If you have the means, please give what you can because student support is vital during this time. After all, at Rutgers, this is what we do. We come together as a community to work together when it’s needed most. Your generosity will help prepare the next generation of students to better our world.
Please stay safe, be well, and thank you in advance for your continued generosity.
Class Giving Goal
Increase the endowment of the Class of 1955 Scholarship Fund.
It’s our 65th class anniversary!
To commemorate this milestone year, you can help us continue to make a difference in the lives of Rutgers’ outstanding students by making a gift to the Class of 1955 Endowed Scholarship Fund. Today, Rutgers–New Brunswick in-state tuition, including student fees, is $15,407 and out-of-state is $31,435. By increasing the endowment of our class scholarship, we will be able to provide greater assistance to students in need.
Don’t forget! Reunion is the perfect time to think about including Rutgers in your estate planning. Through an IRA rollover, gift in your will, or beneficiary designation, you can have a meaningful, long-term impact while taking steps to benefit your own financial situation.
