Class of 1961 — 60th Milestone
In 2021, our class will celebrate 60 years since graduation. Our class reunion will be held during Homecoming/Alumni Weekend in October of 2021. Dates and event details will be shared in the coming months.
Six decades have passed since Rutgers University challenged each of us—whether it was in the classroom, on the playing field, or through any number of campus activities. A lot has changed since our days on the banks, but one thing remains the same, Rutgers’ commitment to excellence, which is more evident today than ever.
What is it about Rutgers that fills you with pride? No doubt, Rutgers provided us with the foundation on which we have built successful lives and careers, but even more, did you know that:
- Rutgers is ranked in the top 100 of world universities;
- Rutgers Philosophy Department is ranked 3rd in the world;
- Rutgers Business School is ranked #1 Public MBA for Entrepreneurship in the Northeast;
- Rutgers is in the top 10% nationally for biology and the School of Biomedical and Health Sciences is leading the way with ground-breaking research in infectious disease, specifically COVID-19.
Our class boasts an impressive roster of doctors, attorneys, CEO’s and presidents, entrepreneurs, writers, researchers, and so much more. Several of our class members have stepped up to leave a legacy at Rutgers. One endowed a Professorship in the Department of Biology at the School of Arts and Sciences; others have endowed personal or family scholarships, while many are loyal annual donors, making a difference, year after year.
Much of our lives can be traced back to our Rutgers roots. We have a lot to be proud of and grateful for. As Rutgers continues to grow its reputation and increase in rankings worldwide, you can be part of the evolution with a gift in support of Rutgers talented students following in our footsteps.
Please join us this 60th reunion year in making a gift to the Class of 1961 Fund which will be used to increase the endowment of our class legacy, the Class of 1961 SAS Honors Program Scholarship.
Your contribution is greatly appreciated and will be celebrated.
