Find Funding Sources to Match Your Needs
Do you have a funding need but aren’t sure about the role philanthropy can play in filling it? Do you want to reach out to a funder for support but don’t know the best way to go about it? Have you finished your submission but want someone who knows philanthropy to make sure you’re putting your best foot forward?
Whether it’s customized support for your fundraising efforts, or just a second set of eyes to go over your materials before you hit “send,” Foundation Relations is here to help.
Check out our Featured Funding Opportunity database featuring some of the biggest, most important philanthropic opportunities on the horizon, divided into subject-specific areas. PhilOps is issued regularly to university deans, directors of development, and university center/institute directors.
Rutgers University maintains paid subscriptions to search engines for identifying philanthropic funding for all disciplines and activities. Use them to find sources of support that match your needs.
Limited Submission Opportunities (LSOs)
Many funders request that Rutgers limit the number of applications we submit for any given RFP. These “limited submission opportunities” are carefully managed by the university typically through the Office of Research and Economic Development or the Office of the Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs. See this comprehensive list of LSO opportunities and follow the process described.
Once a candidate or candidates are selected to go forward, FR Directors are available to work with the chosen applicants to complete their submission materials. Contact Foundationrelations@ruf.rutgers.edu for assistance.
