Class of 1957 — 65th Milestone Campaign
It is hard to believe that this year, our class will celebrate 65 years since graduation. Six and half decades! That’s an impressive milestone and one we are fortunate to celebrate. I know you will agree, the education and life skills we received at Rutgers are priceless. And so, in keeping with our time-honored tradition of giving back, we will again complement our reunion with a class gift.
Our class has been very philanthropic over the years. We continue to support students annually through the Class of 1957 Academic Scholarship Fund and the Class of 1957 Scarlet R Scholarship Fund. For our 60th reunion almost five years ago, we helped to fund programming at the Honors College through the naming of a stained-glass window and left our mark once again in athletics with the naming of the Class of 1957 Golf Team Bus. For our 50th reunion, we proudly named the Class of 1957 Plaza and seating area in front of Van Nest Hall, which is now the New Brunswick Alumni House. We were very instrumental in campaigning for and contributing to the Class of 1957 Golf Training Facility, which was completed in 2020. We have supported many programs at the university over the years and continue to do so to this day.
We are very proud, as you should be, that our class scholarships are awarded annually to students enrolled in schools on the New Brunswick campus. In honor of this 65th milestone, let’s come together to increase the endowment of our scholarship funds to ensure even more students can achieve their academic dreams. As we move forward with fundraising, we will identify other programs and initiatives worthy of our support.
Please join us in making a gift to the Class of 1957 Fund—our unrestricted fund that houses the money for our class gifts. Your generous contribution, at whatever level you choose, is greatly appreciated, and will be celebrated.
