Rutgers Law Alumni Networking Reception and CLE-Washington D.C.
Join us for an evening of networking with fellow Rutgers alumni from 6-8 p.m. and a lecture from Professor Sarah Dadush from 6:40 to 7:40 p.m. The evening will begin and end with our Alumni Networking Reception — a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with classmates, meet fellow graduates, and strengthen your Rutgers Law connections. We’re grateful to Beveridge & Diamond for generously providing beer, wine, and hors d’oeuvres for the evening.
Admission is complimentary.
About the lecture: Contracting for Human Rights
Professor Sarah Dadush leads the Responsible Contracting Project (RCP), a non-profit initiative housed inside the Rutgers Center for Corporate Law and Governance. RCP's mission is to drive better outcomes for people and the planet through better, more responsible contracts. Responsible contracts commit both buyers and suppliers to work together to uphold human rights and environmental standards across the supply chain. This session will explain the "what, why, and how" of responsible contracting, highlighting certain legal compliance issues affecting companies doing business in the US and the European Union.
